A commercial fridge or freezer with two doors side by side, giving roughly twice the capacity of a single door model in one cabinet – for drinks, frozen food or kitchen storage.
How much does a double door fridge hold?
Our 1200 mm double door uprights and display chillers hold about 806 litres; the 880 mm sliding door model about 569 litres.
Is one double door fridge better than two single door fridges?
Usually yes: it takes less floor space, costs less to run than two compressors and gives one continuous display.
Are double door freezers available?
Yes – upright glass door display freezers, a heavy-duty storage freezer and a stainless steel gastronorm freezer.

Twice the capacity, one footprint
When a single door cabinet is not enough, a double door model roughly doubles the capacity without doubling the floor space – and it is usually more economical than two single door units. Double door cabinets suit shops with large drinks or frozen ranges and kitchens that receive larger deliveries.
Display: drinks and frozen
- Double glass door drinks chillers – about 1200 mm wide and about 806 litres, with hinged or sliding doors, +2 to +7 °C.
- Double door display freezers – about 1200 mm wide and about 806 litres, −18 to −24 °C, with triple-glazed self-closing doors on the high-spec model.
- Back bar double glass door chiller – a half-height 900 mm model for bars.
Storage: kitchens and stockrooms
- Heavy-duty double door upright fridge and freezer – about 1200 mm wide and about 806 litres each.
- Stainless steel double door gastronorm chiller and freezer – about 1440 mm wide and 900 mm deep, eight shelves in the chiller.
Before you order
- Double door cabinets are wide and heavy (about 162–208 kg for the uprights, 195–200 kg for the gastronorm models) – check doors and the route in.
- Allow space in front for both doors to open, or choose sliding doors.
- Leave ventilation space above and behind the cabinet.
